A key per transfer, or a peer you keep.
Send Anywhere moves files with a 6-digit key that the receiver types within ten minutes, or through a link that uploads the files to its servers for a set time. The free app shows ads. KEIBIDROP keeps saved peers, so there is no key to pass along, it has no ads and no account, and it mounts the other machine's folder so you open one file instead of receiving all of them. A recipient with nothing installed can use the browser peer.

The two sides exchange an 86 character fingerprint once and connect on it afterwards, so a folder you use every week costs nothing to reopen. Send Anywhere issues a new key for every transfer and the receiver has ten minutes to type it.
The free Send Anywhere app shows ads and the paid tier removes them. KEIBIDROP has no ads. The engine is MPL-2.0 and free, and companies pay one price for the whole team.
KEIBIDROP mounts the other machine's folder as a folder on yours, and a read pulls only the bytes it touches, so you open the one file you came for instead of receiving a whole directory. It is a real filesystem, so Premiere, Resolve, Blender, grep and git open a path on it the way they open a local one.
Open web.keibidrop.com, add files, and pair with a desktop that runs KEIBIDROP. The desktop sees the files in its mounted folder and pulls only the bytes an application reads; a terminal or an agent does the same through kd. The other direction works too: the desktop's folder is listed in the browser and a file downloads when you ask for it. Two browsers can pair the same way.
The free Send Anywhere app shows ads and the paid tier removes them. KeibiDrop shows no ads and needs no account.
With Send Anywhere, yes, and it expires after ten minutes. KeibiDrop peers exchange an 86 character fingerprint once and connect on it afterwards.
Not with KeibiDrop. The bytes go direct when the two machines can reach each other and through the bridge when they cannot, and nothing is stored. A Send Anywhere link uploads the files to its servers until the link expires.
