Play a video from another computer in your browser
With KEIBIDROP on the computer that has the video, the other person can watch it in a browser tab at web.keibidrop.com. They press Play and it starts while the rest of the file is still on your computer. If they skip ahead, the tab fetches that part next.
There's nothing to install on their side and no account. PDFs and photos open the same way with View, and Save keeps a copy. If the video is in a browser on your side too, drop it into web.keibidrop.com and it works the same way, with no install for either of you.
Start watching from a browser tab
- In KEIBIDROP, press Invite link and send them the link.
- They open the link and press Join from this browser. The page says "Code received from your invite link. Press Connect."
- They press Copy under their code and send it back to you. You paste it and press Add.
- You both press Connect.
- Drag the file onto your KEIBIDROP window. In their browser the file shows Play for videos and music, View for PDFs and photos, and Save to download it.
Only the part you watch comes over
The browser asks your computer for the piece of the video that's playing, plus a little ahead. If they jump to minute 40, it asks for minute 40. A two-hour film doesn't have to arrive before the first minute plays, and nothing is saved to their disk unless they press Save.
| Button | Opens |

| Play | Videos and music your browser can play |
| View | PDFs and photos |
| Save | Any file: documents, Excel spreadsheets, archives, games, anything, downloaded in full |
Private the whole way
The video stays encrypted from your computer to their tab, and the encryption is quantum-safe. The tab connects through our bridge, which passes along encrypted pieces. It can't see the video, its name or its size.
The key exchange combines ML-KEM-1024, a post-quantum algorithm in NIST's highest security category, with X25519, so both would have to be broken. Details on the security page.
Play and View work for files shared from the desktop app or from another browser tab, in formats the browser can play. We test them in Chrome and Brave. For other files, such as documents, spreadsheets or archives, the other person presses Save.
The computer with the video has to stay on and connected while it plays.
